Doctors’ Health Alliance is the new not-for-profit organisation that formalises the original ‘Australasian Doctors Health Network’ or as many people knew it, the ADHN, which has existed for the past 25 years.
The Doctors’ Health Alliance is building upon the ADHN's mission to strengthen the voice for doctors' health and bring together doctors, medical students, and other stakeholders who share an interest in the health and wellbeing of the medical profession.
This new website is a work in progress and you will find contact details for doctors' health services which operate confidential 24/7 around Australia, you can remain anonymous when you call. This site will promote events and resources for promoting doctors' and medical students’ health, for helping your colleagues and for your own self-care.
You can now see all the great sessions from the Australasian Doctors Health Conference, held in Adelaide in 2022 - view sessions here.
What do your local doctors' health services do? In December 2022 the services collaborated to share with you simulated calls that the 24/7 phone services have taken over the years (find your local doctors’ health services number above)
These services have taken over 900 calls a year from doctors and medical students in rural, remote and metro areas - this video is a powerful description of what your local doctors' health services do:
