We are excited to share the availability of the GP Wellbeing Grant, an initiative by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP), designed to support research focused on improving the mental health, resilience, and overall wellbeing of general practitioners and their practice teams.
RACGP President Dr. Nicole Higgins highlighted in the College announcement the significance of GP-led research in shaping general practice and a health profession.
This initiative, backed by a generous donation from an RACGP member, aligns with the Every Doctor, Every Setting (EDES) framework, emphasising the critical need for targeted research to improve doctors' mental health and resilience.
Applications for the RACGP Foundation GP Wellbeing Grant are now open and we encourage all GPs interested in contributing to this meaningful research area to apply for the RACGP Foundation grants by April 2, 2024.
